Castello di Amorosa is the realization of an all-consuming passion. Fourth generation winemaker Dario Sattui built an authentically styled 13th century Tuscan castle winery to honor his Italian heritage and deep love for medieval architecture. The 121,000 square-foot edifice includes sprawling stone courtyards, five defensive guard towers with battlements, gargoyles, secret tunnels and even a dungeon fitted with real torture equipment.
We will enjoy a guided tour of the castle, a tasting of six premium and reserve wines paired with cheese and chocolates, and time to browse in the gift shop. We will then stop in Calistoga for lunch and free time. A group lunch at the Calistoga Inn & Brewery is optional (see menu below). Total cost is $165 per person without lunch and $220 per person with lunch. You can also enjoy a beer tasting at the inn for an additional $16.50 (payable to the inn; no need to reserve in advance).

Depart at 7:30 a.m. from the Davis Target parking lot and 7:50 a.m. from the University Retirement Community and 8:30 a.m. from the Fairfield Lowes. Return to Davis Target around 5 p.m.
Cancellation Policy: Cancellations received 30 days prior to the trip will receive a full refund. Cancellations received less than 30 days prior to the trip will only receive a refund if your space can be filled from the waiting list.
Travelers must provide proof of COVID-19 vaccine; if we do not already have a copy of your vaccine card on file, upload it when registering online, email it to us at DavisTravelaires@gmail.com, or send it to the Travelaires office, 646 A Street, Davis CA 95616. You will only need to do this once, as we will keep the documentation on file.
