It is time for tea in the British tradition. We will enjoy several traditional English delicacies, learn a wee bit of tea etiquette, and participate in a fun pop quiz. Angela Grant, the Tudor Rose Tea Room proprietor, hails from England and has realized her dream of creating a special haven that brings a bit of her home country to California.
Menu: pasties (beef/chicken & veggie), scones wth jam/cream, mushroom/onion tarts, tea sandwiches (meat or vegetarian), signature cookies, endless tea, and a glass of champagne. When registering, indicate special dietary requirements. The tea room can provide vegan, diabetic-friendly, and gluten-free options.
Pick-up/Drop-off: Bus departs 9:30 a.m. from the Davis Target parking lot, 9:50 a.m. from the University Retirement Community and 10:30 a.m. from te Fairfield Lowes. Return in reverse at 3:45, 4:45, 5 p.m.
Activity Level: 1 (minimal walking)
Cancellation Policy: Cancellations received 30 days prior to the trip will receive a full refund. Cancellations received less than 30 days prior to the trip will only receive a refund if your space can be filled from the waiting list.
COVID Policies: Travelers must provide proof of COVID-19 vaccine; if we do not already have a copy of your vaccine card on file, upload it when registering online, email it to us at DavisTravelaires@gmail.com, or send it to the Travelaires office, 646 A Street, Davis CA 95616. You will only need to do this once, as we will keep the documentation on file.
Masks are required on the bus and at venues as required by the venue. Bring a copy of your vaccination card, as some venues require proof of vaccination upon entry.
