“Pal-entine’s” Day is a day to celebrate friendship. And what better way to celebrate friends than with a visit to a chocolate factory? TCHO Chocolate produces award-winning, ethically-sourced, 100% plant-based artisanal chocolate. Their factory tour, regarded as one of the best chocolate tours in the world, includes a behind-the-scenes look at how TCHO's chocolate is made and how they partner with cacao producers and research institutions worldwide to create a better cacao bean—because better beans mean better chocolate. In addition to the tour, we will taste several of their innovative chocolate flavors during a guided tasting, enjoy box lunches in the tasting room by Ann’s Catering, and have time to shop in their store.

House-Roasted Turkey Breast and Swiss Cheese
with avocado, lettuce and basil aioli on sourdough bread
Grilled Flank Steak and Gorgonzola Cheese
with mixed greens, caramelized onions and roasted garlic aioli on focaccia bread
Havarti Cheese and Avocado
with tomato, lettuce, mayonnaise, and wholegrain mustard on wheat bread
Box lunches will include a small pasta salad, an apple and a cookie.
You can choose from a selection of sparkling waters, sparkling juices, and sodas.
Pick-Up/Drop-Off: Depart 8:30 a.m. from Davis Target and 8:50 a.m. from University Retirement Community. Return in reverse 3:30 and 3:45.
Activity Level: 1.5 (30-minute walking tour)
Cancellations: Cancellations received by January 17 will receive a full refund. Cancellations received after that date will only receive a refund if your space can be filled from the waiting list.
COVID Policies: Travelers must provide proof of COVID-19 vaccine; if we do not already have a copy of your vaccine card on file, upload it when registering online, email it to us at DavisTravelaires@gmail.com, or send it to the Travelaires office, 646 A Street, Davis CA 95616. You will only need to do this once, as we will keep the documentation on file.
Masks are currently optional, including on the bus. Bring a copy of your vaccination card and a photo ID, as some venues require proof of vaccination upon entry.
