San Francisco's Asian Art Museum is home to one of the world’s finest collections of Asian art, boasting more than 18,000 awe-inspiring artworks ranging from ancient jades and ceramics to contemporary works. Our tickets will include entrance to the special exhibit, "Beyond Bollywood: 2,000 Years of Dance in Art," a journey for the mind, body, and senses through two millennia of art inspired by dance from South and Southeast Asia and the Himalayas. You can spend the day exploring the museum on your own or add an optional one-hour docent-led "Great Works" tour that highlights the museum's finest works. With or without the optional tour, you will have time to explore, enjoy a no-host lunch at the museum café, and browse the excellent gift shop.
Member Price Discount: Members of the Asian Art Museum are eligible for a discounted price. Must provide membership number when registering.
Pick-Up/Drop-Off: Depart 8:30 a.m. from Davis Target and 8:50 a.m. from University Retirement Community. Return in reverse at 4:45 and 5 p.m.
Activity Level: 2 (includes a one-hour walking tour and free time to explore)
Cancellations: Cancellations received by May 18 will receive a full refund. Cancellations received after that date will only receive a refund if your space can be filled from the waiting list.
COVID Policies: Travelers must provide proof of COVID-19 vaccine; if we do not already have a copy of your vaccine card on file, upload it when registering online, email it to us at DavisTravelaires@gmail.com, or send it to the Travelaires office, 646 A Street, Davis CA 95616. You will only need to do this once, as we will keep the documentation on file.
Masks are optional, including on the bus. Bring a copy of your vaccination card and a photo ID, as some venues may require proof of vaccination upon entry.
