Bodega Marine Laboratory & Tides Restaurant

The UC Davis Bodega Marine Laboratory (BML) is a leading research and education facility that provides science to serve society and informs solutions to complex environmental challenges. For more than 50 years, BML’s multidisciplinary research discoveries have advanced ocean and coastal health, and its hand-on educational programs have trained the nation’s next generation of leaders in marine science and policy. During our docent-led tour, we will see the facilities and learn about ongoing marine and coastal science research as well as the laboratory’s history on the Sonoma Coast. Following our lab visit, we will enjoy lunch at the waterfront Tides Restaurant with its sweeping views of Bodega Bay. This trip will be limited to 45 participants.

Pick-Up/Drop-Off: Depart 8 a.m. from Davis Target and 8:20 a.m. from University Retirement Community. Return to URC at approximately 4:15 and to the Davis Target at approximately 4:30 p.m.

Activity Level: 2 (one-hour walking tour, inside and outside)

Cancellations: Cancellations received by August 3 will receive a full refund. Cancellations received after that date will only receive a refund if your space can be filled from the waiting list.

COVID Policies: Travelers must provide proof of COVID-19 vaccine; if we do not already have a copy of your vaccine card on file, upload it when registering online, email it to us at DavisTravelaires@gmail.com, or send it to the Travelaires office, 646 A Street, Davis CA 95616. You will only need to do this once, as we will keep the documentation on file.

Masks are currently optional, including on the bus. Bring a copy of your vaccination card and a photo ID, as some venues require proof of vaccination upon entry.
