The California Academy of Sciences, located in Golden Gate Park, is an aquarium, planetarium, rainforest, natural history museum, and research institute, all under one living roof. During our visit, you can explore on your own to discover the past, present, and future of life in the natural history museum, see a variety of sea creatures in the aquarium’s underwater and terrestrial habitats, and climb into the lush canopy of the living rainforest. We will also enjoy a planetarium show that combines cutting-edge visualizations and realistic virtual environments. From the depths of a Philippine coral reef to the outer reaches of the universe, it is all inside the California Academy of Sciences. Lunch will be on your own at the Academy Café.

Pick-Up/Drop-Off: Depart 8:30 a.m. from Davis Target and 8:50 a.m. from University Retirement Community (URC). Return to URC at approximately 4:45 and to Target at approximately 5 p.m.

Activity Level: 1.5-2 (The Academy building is large, but you are free to explore at your own pace)

Cancellations: Cancellations received by November 15 will receive a full refund. Cancellations received after that date will only receive a refund if your space can be filled from the waiting list.
