Experience the "Sonoma Serengeti" as we explore Safari West, a 400-acre world-class wildlife preserve. We will board safari vehicles for a two-hour adventure among the herds of giraffes, cape buffalo, wildebeest, zebras, rhinos and other African species. We will also enjoy a walking tour, where we will encounter cheetahs and primates including lemurs. As we walk through the Amani Oasis, a massive walkthrough aviary, we will observe birds from different regions of the world. Lunch in Safari West’s Savannah Café will be a traditional South African Braai (BBQ) featuring a buffet of grilled meat (or tofu on request), sides, and dessert.

Pick-Up/Drop-Off: Depart 7:10 a.m. from Davis Target and 7:30 a.m. from University Retirement Community (URC). Return to URC at approximately 5:15 and to Target at approximately 5:30 p.m.
Activity Level: 2 (one-hour walking tour and two hours in a safari vehicle
Cancellations: Cancellations received by September will receive a full refund. Cancellations received after that date will only receive a refund if your space can be filled from the waiting list.
